Ministry of Foreign Affairs

This is the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Seychelles. This Ministry is responsible for implementing the foreign policy of the Government of the Republic of Seychelles and liaison with the funding agencies. The Ministry works through its headquarters and Seychelles Diplomatic Missions and Consular Missions abroad.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is made up of two divisions and a section; the Division of International Relations, the Division of International Economic Affairs and the Protocol Section. The Ministry is also responsible for the diplomatic Missions of the Republic of Seychelles abroad.


Mission Statement
To continuously promote regional, international bilateral, multilateral and economic cooperation, promote the foreign policy of Seychelles, preservation and strengthening of national sovereignty and security, protect and promote (as far as possible and where appropriate), the interests and welfare of Seychelles’ nationals abroad, support national social and economic development through the mobilisation of external concessionary financial resources and other financial mechanisms, promote Seychelles as an international trade and investment centre, promote exports of goods and services, particularly Seychelles’ tourism and related hospitality services.
